Introducing Dagang News
Launched on 1st July, 2020 Dagang News is a Malay and English bilingual business news portal dedicated to bringing readers the latest business activities, corporate, shares and commodities news. It also focuses on government and politics policies that affect the business and economics in Malaysia and Indonesia.
The editorial team is as follows:
Johardy Ibrahim leads the editorial direction, content strategy and the reporters. He brings with him more than 28 years’ experience in journalism and spent 25 years with Utusan Malaysia. Johardy has held several senior roles at Utusan Malaysia being the Executive Editor, Economic News Editor and Senior News Editor. He also writes in his own column called "Merrepak", started in 2009 on Utusan Malaysia and now available on Dagang News.
Muhammad Arief Che Soh has joined as a Reporter. He was previously a Reporter with Utusan Online and has experience managing online content and social media platforms. Besides curating and writing, Arief is also responsible in driving the traffic and the brand visibility.
Dagang News also welcomed Nur Anis Farhanah Abdul Malek on board as its Reporter. She focuses on both Malay and English content for the news portal, be it creating and translating the articles. Anis was previously working with Utusan Malaysia and is experienced in interviewing prominent figures and managing social media as well as creating SEO-oriented content.
Zunaidah Zainon joined in October 2020, after leaving Utusan Mulia in July where she was the assistant business news editor. In Dagang News she will be focusing on special reports and news analysis.
Former Assistant Business Editor of The Business Times NST, Zaidi Isham Ismail has been given a licence to analyse current issues under the banner of ANALISIS DAGANGNEWS.
