Malaysia Airports lodge a police report on klse.i3investor.com's article

SEPANG 6 July - Malaysia Airports has made a police report regarding a baseless and untrue posting written by an individual with the username ‘VirusInMOH’ on the Community Blog of the portal klse.i3investor.com titled “MOH sold, and Malaysia for sale? MYEG Bhd sponsored the BP Healthcare & MAHB COVID-19 scam endorsed by DG Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah?” dated 3 July 2021.

The police report is made on the basis that allegations made in the posting are not only baseless and untrue but also malicious in nature with the intention of damaging the reputation and integrity of Malaysia Airports and its group chief executive officer.

Malaysia Airports categorically objects to the posting and the subsequent malicious comments resulting from it. As such, it has taken several actions on the matter.

"Along with the police report, Malaysia Airports had filed a complaint with the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission, as well as issued a cease and desist letter to the owner of the portal to demand that the offending article be removed.

"We are also demanding for the author to desist from making any further statements on the matter.

"We view this matter seriously as the posting has brought disrepute to our organisation and lowered our image in the eyes of the public and stakeholders," said Malaysia Airports in a statement here today. - DagangNews.com
