Chak Ho Sum: Another billionair joins Inix Technology

KUALA LUMPUR 11 August - Inix Technology Berhad appointed a Hong Kong billionaire financier, Chak Ho Sum as their independent cum non-executive director.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the software and hardware supplier informed that Chak is a well-known tycoon in Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia.

Currently, he serves as director in 13 organisations, including 6 as the executive director for Hong Kong New Territories Hydroponics Company; Cambodia Genting Crown Casino Fan Tian Gambling Hall; Fighting Creative and Culture Production; Blue Moon Music and Culture Limited; Time Film Production Company and Time Sports Club.

Last Friday, Inix announced the appointment of Macao's tycoon Wan Kuok Koi also known as `The Broken Tooth' as the new chairman along with two local businessman.
 

The development definitely excite the market as Inix shares rose 61% the most in two days, while Malaysia's benchmark index declined.

Inix's share increased to 79 sen per share, higher than any close since March 15, 2006 from 49 sen.

According to the company's press release, Inix itself is an investment holding company. The company is engaged in hardware and software supply. The part of the company includes software, including software development and system integration, books that are engaged in sales, and businesses, including investment holdings and others.
