Mitsubishi unveils specifications for 2020 XPANDER

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 Oct. – MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSiA (MMM) today unveiled its much-anticipated latest addition – the new Mitsubishi XPANDER’s full specifications to its Malaysian fans and car enthusiasts.

Powered by a 1.5-litre MIVEC petrol engine with aluminium block, the XPANDER is capable of producing 105 PS at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm and fueled by a four-speed automatic transmission.

Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, Tomoyuki Shinnishi said, the new aesthetically designed seven-seater crossover is a significant model that fit Malaysians’ active and practical lifestyle.

Now available for bookings at all Mitsubishi Motors authorised showrooms nationwide, the XPANDER features an impressive futuristic design, comes equipped with the high performance ‘Dynamic Shield’ front design concept which offers a sense of protections to the passengers and pedestrians.

“The locally-assembled new Mitsubishi XPANDER which is targeted to be officially launched this November offers a more competitive price with better specifications that allow our customers to live an adventurous, convenient and comfortable life beyond limits,” he said in a press release today.

Key features of the latest addition include impressive LED Headlamps, Crystal blocks LED position lamp and L-illumination LED Tail Lights and 16 inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

As the model with the best-in-class spacious cabin (1730mm (H) and 4,475mm(L)), the new XPANDER also wows its fans by offering enormous legroom (2775mm wheelbase and 1750mm width) for all its passengers.

The XPANDER also does not compromised on its passengers’ safety by offering dual SRS airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distributor (EBD), Active Stability Control (ASC), Brake Assist System (BA) and Brake Override System (BOS) among others.

Passengers will also get to enjoy full luggage space and car-like boot that allows easier loading of larger and longer items as the seven-seater crossover is the only car in its class that comes with a fold-flat second and third rows seats.

From 23 October to 1 November 2020, the new Mitsubishi XPANDER will be available for special close-up preview at selected locations – Toppen Mall (Johor) and Ipoh parade (Perak) for customers in Johor and Perak.
