Mubadala Petroleum donates 800 food parcels to The Lost Food Project this Ramadan

KUALA LUMPUR 29 April – A leading international oil and gas company with operations in Malaysia, Mubadala Petroleum, teams up with The Lost Food Project (TLFP) to donate 800 essential food parcels to hundreds of B40 (bottom 40% of the population) or low-income families in Batu, Kuala Lumpur this Ramadan.

Each parcel contains essential food items including rice, cooking oil, oats, biscuits, face masks and hand sanitisers. The total donation value is RM58,360.00.

General Manager of TLFP, Mohd Syazwan said: “The demand for food remains as high as crisis levels and unfortunately we anticipate it will remain high over the next coming months.

"So it is really reassuring to have continued support from Mubadala Petroleum in providing us annual food provisions and the five-tonne truck which enable us to step up to the immense challenge ahead to reduce food waste and provide more impoverished communities access to food throughout Ramadan and all year round,” he said in a statement.

Mubadala Petroleum has supported the food rescue, hunger eradication and sustainability efforts of TLFP since 2019 through annual food donations and funding of a five-tonne truck which allowed TLFP to procure more food and feed more households across the country.

Core to Mubadala Petroleum’s business is being a responsible operator and corporate citizen with a strong commitment to community development, health, safety, and the environment.
