KUALA LUMPUR 1 Sept. - After two decades, Nissan redesigns its logo to signal the evolution of the brand as not only a traditional vehicle manufacturer to a provider of mobility and services.
Nissan’s new logo 'comes alive' and the company name remains at the center of the logo, communicating an instantly recognizable brand that evokes past milestones and memories while also conveying evolution.
Nissan's senior vice president of global design, Alfonso Albaisa said the inspiration was drawn from breakthroughs in science, technology and connectivity.
“How these have brought fundamental changes to our customers.
“As you can imagine, visions of digitalization started swirling in our heads,” said him in a statement.
The new logo begins appearing in July, both in digital and physical forms.
Nissan’s electric vehicles will feature an exclusive illuminated logo lit by 20 LEDs corresponding to the number of years between logo redesigns.
This will be followed by the new logo being incorporated across mediums from letterhead and dealership signs to social media and digital advertising.
In certain digital and video applications, the logo will actually come alive as it shifts and pulsates against a variety of backgrounds, allowing the logo to reflect today’s ever-changing environment and the flexibility needed to remain exciting, relevant and intriguing.
The recently unveiled Nissan Ariya, the first crossover electrified vehicle for the brand, is the first car to be emblazoned with the new logo.
“The Nissan Ariya is our latest electrified vehicle, packed with advanced technology. It is the perfect platform for this new logo,” he added.
Additional vehicles will sport the new logo in the coming years as the new chapter of Nissan evolves. - DagangNews.com
