Introducing DagangNews.com

Launched in June 2020, DagangNews.com is a Malay language business news portal dedicated to present the latest business activities, economics, corporate, shares and commodities news.

It also focuses on government policies and politics that affect the business and economics particularly in Malaysia, as well as the region.

The editorial team is as follows:

Managing Editor
Johardy Ibrahim leads the editorial direction and content strategy of DagangNews.com. He brings with him more than 32 years’ of experience in journalism, of which 25 years were with Utusan Malaysia. Johardy started as a junior reporter in The People's Mirror in Sarawak (15 May 1992) and later joined the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA). At Utusan Malaysia, he held several senior roles being the Executive Editor, Economic News Editor and Senior News Editor. He had a stint with TV Sarawak from Nov 2020-Mac 2021. He also writes in his own column called "Merrepak", beginning in 2009 in Utusan Malaysia and is now available on DagangNews.com.

Acting Assistant Editor

Nor Azan Fitri Ahmad Hidzir has 12 years experience in journalism and prior to joining DagangNews.com in 2022, he was a sportswriter with Utusan Malaysia. Azan or Sincan - as he is affectionately known, not only transformed himself as a business writer but also given a task of handling the newsroom.

Reporter

Syaza Norazharuddin joined the Editorial team in July 2024 and is learning the trade, ferociously.

New Media Editor

Mohammad Naim Firdaus joined DagangNews in June 2023, carrying with him a vast of experience. He started his career in Utusan Malaysia in 2004 until 2018 last position as Assistant Photo Editor. He was teaching Basic Photography at the National Defense University of Malaysia (UPNM) Sungai Besi 2019-2023. Naim joined DagangNews in June 2023 as the New Media Editor, in-charged of all things video, AI, TikTok etc

IT & Business Development Manager

Mohd Ainol Anuar Zulkifli is in-charged of everything digital in the company as well as marketing activities.

Administrative

Pn Shahlina Hashim is the Administrative Executive, assisting the Managing Editor on the administrative, HR, accounts etc aspects.

SPECIALIST WRITERS:

• Zaki Salleh who is well-known for his focus on military-related reports, presents current issues from Perak where he now resides.
   
• Zaidi Isham Ismail is DagangNews.com's Specialist Writer with previous experiences in online media, The Vibes as an Assistant News Editor, and journalist at the News Straits Times.
   
• Tengku Noor Shamsiah Tengku Abdullah is formerly with Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) and also DagangNews.com's Specialist Writer.
   
• Husna Abdullah, is our source for news from the East Coast.
   
• Mohamed Mohd Dom is a specialist in business news
