KUALA LUMPUR 7 May – Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) today announced that it has appointed Otto Risbakk as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Otto will assume his position from 1 August 2021.
He succeeds current CFO Inger Gloersen Folkeson who returns home to Norway following the end of her contract tenure in Digi.
Otto is currently CFO at Telenor Denmark. He has been with Telenor Group for 13 years, and was previously Senior Vice President for Mergers and Acquisitions.
Prior to joining Telenor, he held several finance leadership positions in large industrial firm Norsk Hydro, including as CFO for the Automotive Division, and Vice President for International Business Development. He is a Norwegian citizen, and holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Université de Fribourg in Switzerland.
“Otto is a highly experienced finance leader with a deep track record in Telenor Group and in the telecoms industry, and he will add a new dimension to Digi’s management team in driving the next phase of our journey. Inger Gloersen Folkeson returns to Norway
Inger will leave Digi and Telenor Group in end July, having completed her current contract as Digi CFO. She joined the company in March 2019, and has been with Telenor Group since August 2007.
“Inger has been a strong leader and colleague on the management team, and as CFO she has strengthened Digi’s growth and operational efficiency focus and overseen vital finance transformation initiatives in her time with us.
