TAIPING 29 Sept. – Malaysia’s best-selling natural mineral water producer Spritzer Malaysia recently completed a coral replanting and restoration initiative in the waters around Salang, Pulau Tioman, Pahang to help conserve the area’s marine ecosystem.
The initiative forms part of the Company’s “Island Conservation Programme” and is assisted by non-governmental organisation LegeS Divers, which will help monitor the corals and update Spritzer on its progress.
Spritzer volunteers, with the help of LegeS Divers, helped in the coral replanting and restoration work in waters off Salang. This initiative is crucial to the ecosystem of the waters around Pulau Tioman as corals provide shelter to many species of fish while protecting coastlines from storms and erosion.
Spritzer volunteers also helped volunteers from the local community and LegeS Divers from 18 – 20 September 2020 in picking up litter from the beach as well as under the water to create a cleaner environment both on land and in the sea.
The “Island Conservation Programme” is part of the Company’s contribution to environmental sustainability as well as awareness among employees of the importance of an ecologically sound planet.
