KUALA LUMPUR 24 March - Revenue Monster, a Malaysian financial technology company focused on pioneering business digitisation and driving transformation announced today the launch of a new in-app mini program on Alipay, a leading digital payment and daily life services platform.
The mini program integrates Revenue Monster’s online super store solution, à la carte directly into the Alipay app. With it, Alipay users can access, order and pay for food delivery services offered by Revenue Monster’s F&B merchants, thus bringing more revenue opportunities to local F&B businesses and greater convenience to consumers’ daily lives.
The à la carte solution which was launched in early 2020 amidst the first Movement Control Order (MCO) has attracted a list of F&B merchants including Sushi King, Kenny Rogers Roasters and Dragon-I. à la carte has been integral in aiding business sustainability and helping businesses generate more revenue throughout the pandemic.
The mini program collaboration with Alipay, a leading digital payment platform in China that serves over one billion users and 80 million merchants and partners 2,000 financial institutions, forms a part of Revenue Monster’s continuous efforts in helping Malaysian businesses and SMEs to go digital and thrive during these difficult times.
“Our à la carte solution aims to enhance merchants’ marketing effectiveness and diversify revenue streams. With the Alipay mini program, we hope to increase our merchant base whilst also bringing more value to more than 6,000 merchants on the Revenue Monster platform by extending their digital reach to new customer segments,” said Amanda Chin, CEO of Revenue Monster.
Commenting on the partnership, Cherry Huang, General Manager, Global Merchant Partnership, South and Southeast Asia, Alipay, said, “It is critical for the F&B sector, traditionally based on a brick-and-mortar model and heavily reliant on footfall, to go digital in order to sustain its customer reach and engagement amid the pandemic. We believe this trend will become part of the new normal. We are glad to join on this transformation journey with local businesses and partners like Revenue Monster to provide an effective digital platform equipped with marketing and payment capabilities and to bring the best value to merchants and users.”
Revenue Monster offers the lowest platform fees at 18% for merchants who join the mini program. As an additional benefit to merchants, from now until 31 May 2021, merchants who sign up for a minimum of one year will also receive one payment terminal for free.
à la carte empowers businesses with tools to drive online sales by allowing businesses to create their own digital menus and stores that they can use on any digital or social platform. This works in tandem with the entire Revenue Monster’s ecosystem, to allow merchants to digitalise and manage their business operations, from handling payments through unified payment solutions, fast-tracking digital payments with one click payment links via eInvoice, to managing customer retention and engagement via social media chat tools.
The overall Revenue Monster platform has also benefited close to 13,000 merchant points in food & beverage, fashion and accessories, home appliances, beauty/personal care, automobile and more.
Commenting on its digitalisation efforts and how the latest mini program initiative impacts its business, Mr. Wilson Lee, Director of Good Taste Oriental, said, “In today’s landscape, it is imperative for businesses to digitalise and we have found Revenue Monster’s service to be immensely helpful on that front. While the pandemic has been rough, we have managed to see an exponential growth through online orders. This new added-value mini program within Alipay simply gives us more business opportunities which is always a plus!”
The à la carte Alipay mini program represents the first phase of Revenue Monster’s plans to further expand the base and use case for its independent online super store solution, with plans in the works to bring the service to other platforms this year. - DagangNews.com
