Politicians must have some dignity for themselves

It is true what the adage say. Some politicians cannot be trusted.

A fraction of these self absorbed politicians only care about themselves.

If this allegation is baseless, let's just wait on Thursday when they gather in Parliament to either pass or reject Budget 2021.

All sorts of bargaining or what they call "horse trading" are taking place even as we speak.

Politicians from party A is sticking out the carrot to party B.

"We will only vote for the budget if you do this and this."

Another politician bargained that he will only approve the budget if the party gets this post and that post.

How low can these politicians get?

"These politicians are merely using this to call for the general elections."

"Meluat is the word to describe them," said a member of the public.

Perhaps some of these politicians don't realize that they are being lampooned on social media.

Some of these politicians are being ridiculed on WhatsApp and Tik Tok memes which have become viral.

Some of their faces have been photoshopped with captions imprinted on top of their heads poking fun at their stupidity.

Their memes also show them making a fool of themselves with no impunity.

Clearly the rakyat are fed up with the antics of the politicians and they can see through their deceit and insincerity.

Political news are shared on Facebook on a daily basis but just take a look at the scathing comments below.

The politicians are being trolled by the rakyat and lambasted till kingdom come.

Politicians are not the flavour of the day right now.

The rakyat can see their true colours through and through.

Perhaps, self proclaimed social activist Abdul Rani Kulup saif it best : Apa la malang nasib Malaysia ni agaknya. Dapat Timbalan Menteri pon ***** (derogatory term) macam selipar," he tweeted.

Abdul Rani is not the only ruffled and discontented member of the rakyat.

A large section of the rakyat are taking these politicians to task for insisting on the general elections be held knowing full well that the COVID-19 situation has not simmered down.

Politicians oh politicians.

The rakyat voted the members of parliament to serve the rakyat.

The parliamentary seat is not for the politician to further their political ambitions (but everybody knows that is not true).

A survey carried out by Emir Research showed that Malaysians blamed politicians for the prolonged political instability and not the pandemic, for the country's economic woes.

"The participants of the survey put the blame on their woes more on the never-ending political instability in Malaysia which has been plaguing the country for some time.

They see the pandemic as something very unfortunate but temporary because at some point in time, the pandemic will go away," EMIR said in a media release last month.

But to be fair there are some politicians in the country who are dedicated and earnest in their servitude to the rakyat.

But for the rest of the scheming politicians.

Pease have a little dignity and honour in thyselves.  -  DagangNews.com
