KUALA LUMPUR 25 August – Malaysia’s leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT” distributor, VSTECS Berhad through its wholly-owned subsidiary VSTECS Pericomp Sdn. Bhd., has entered into a distribution arrangement with Red Hat.
As a distributor, VSTECS Pericomp will distribute the full range of Red Hat’s solutions, which includes infrastructure, integration, cloud, application development, and automation and management in Malaysia.
Chief Executive Officer of VSTECS Berhad, Soong Jun Hsung said, the collaboration with Red Hat offers enterprise open source technologies, and emphasizes open technology, open culture and open process.
“With the rapid speed of change creating a multitude of different requirements, open source technology allows agility and flexibility for organisations to adapt and scale their IT environment according to their unique needs.
“Red Hat's products and solutions complement VSTECS’ range of products and services and with our channel reach, we are confident this collaboration will yield position results for both Red Hat and VSTECS,” said Jun Hsung in a statement today.
Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source solutions with a suite of products ranging from operating systems to middleware to cloud infrastructure.
Red Hat collaborates with a range of innovative partners in hardware, software, cloud, and business solutions.
The appointment of VSTECS Pericomp comes in response to growing interest in managed, multi and hybrid cloud solutions in the region.
Meantime, Country Manager of Red Hat Malaysia, Eric Quah said, the company is looking forward working with VSTECS to expand the availability of Red Hat technologies, and drive further innovation in the open hybrid cloud ecosystem.
